Your taste code
Claude can pick films for your flight from what the airline is showing this month. Give it your IMDb or Letterboxd history once and it skips what you've seen and ranks the rest by how you score films. This page turns your export into a short code you paste into the chat.
If your IMDb ratings are public, you can now skip this page and paste your profile link into the chat instead. The upload below still works when the link doesn't, or for a Letterboxd export.
1. Add your export
IMDb: on a computer, signed in, open imdb.com/list/ratings/export. The file shows up under Your exports a minute later. For the watchlist, use the three-dot menu on your Watchlist page.
Letterboxd: Settings, Data, Export your data. Drop the zip in as it is.
2. Check it
Your files stay in this browser. The code stores the film ids and your scores, nothing else, for a year. Anyone who has the code can see that list.
3. Paste it into Claude
Keep it somewhere you'll find it again, a note on your phone works. Next flight, paste the same code.
Lost the code? If your IMDb ratings are public, send a message like the first one with your own link where the example is. The second works with no history at all: Claude lists ten films and asks which you've seen.
First time? Set up the Claude app
Once, on claude.ai in a browser. It then works in the phone app too.
- Customize, Plugins, Add, Add marketplace, and enter
len5ky/seatback-cinema. Install Seatback Cinema. That's it. - Optional: on the plugin's Connectors tab, add the Seatback Cinema connector (no login). It lets you paste an IMDb or Letterboxd export straight into the chat.
